On Thursday I took the garbage out to the big dumpster at the apartment complex that Ty and I help manage. I noticed that there was a blue vacuum sitting next to the dumpster. I thought nothing of it and went back inside. The next day I came home to find the same blue vacuum sitting in my front room. I instantly put on my slightly annoyed wifey voice (that sadly I am very good at) and asked what the broken vacuum was doing in my house. Tyler pointed out that we do not own a vacuum (we use one that belongs to the apartments) and he thought he could fix it to make it work. That way we wouldn't have to buy one. I, on the other hand, didn't think it was a very good idea. Obviously it was broken...or why would someone be throwing it away?
So this morning I woke up to find my studly husband had gotten up early to fix the blue vacuum. I am not sure if he was trying to surprise me or just prove me wrong that the vacuum wasn't broken but either way he surely fixed it. Now we have our very own new to us-used by someone else vacuum! I am grateful for a handyman husband who loves to fix stuff and doesn't overlook little things....like his wife does:)
You know what they say...one mans junk is another mans treasure. I hope the people who threw it away don't see us using their vacuum one day and want it back. If that happens Tyler says, "fixers keepers... losers weepers!"
